We finished this one up for Calvin @cally_cat just before their travels to California with @c.a.r.i.n.a.e This was a really fun collaboration with Calvin’s ideas, having seen many Healers take shape over the years and all of our experiments at keeping finish as thin as possible. This is our mix of @generalfinishes waterbase sealer and Persimmon milk paint for color and True Oil varnish as clear coat. Couldn’t be more psyched on how it came together. Roasted alder small body Healer, mega old maple top, fully chambered. The grain shows through the color mix too. Roasted maple neck and Madagascar rosewood fretboard, 25” scale. Cream Acrylic pickguard, @lollarpickups Senn Model 1 pickups, @ruttersguitars La Burrito bridge, and @forneycustomampsandguitars brass telecaster string ferrules. 6 on a plate cram key tuners. The pickups have such a cool character, lots of transparency with drive and compression. No need for pedals!
